Retroactive Child Support
Henry vs Henry
Danny Guspie, FRI Executive Director
comments to the Canadian Press
"According to the ruling the child support orders should provide the payer parents with 'the benefit of predictability'. The ruling is disappointing because it does not appear to make any reference to decreasing child support payments when the payer's income declines. It's a very cumbersome system."
"You have to pay $3,500 for a lawyer if you lose your job in order to vary your support payments. If you've lost your job, how do you do that?"

The “Henry and Henry” case in Alberta consolidates this principle, and it will affect every father paying child support in Canada. Henry and Henry Judgement

"Roe v. Wade for Men"

This controversial case will force re-examination of abortion rights for women, by asking what rights men have. Abortion is based upon the legal fiction that a fetus is not legally a child, and therefore has no rights. If that is so, then why can't a man opt out before the birth too?
